How to spot a legitimate rewards platform

February 24, 2026·6 min read

The rewards industry has excellent operators and questionable ones. Use this checklist to evaluate any platform before you sign up — it works on Believe too, and you should use it here.

Green flags to look for

  • Requirements shown before you start, not after
  • Rewards described as varying — not guaranteed
  • Clear pending → approved → paid states
  • Real, published contact and support channels
  • Legible privacy policy and reward disclosure

Red flags to walk away from

  • Promises of guaranteed daily income
  • Fake-looking user testimonials with stock photos
  • Payout amounts described as "instant" with no conditions
  • No terms, no privacy policy, no legal entity information
  • Support only available through a personal messenger account

One question that reveals a lot

Ask what happens when an offer does not credit. A serious platform will explain that Believe advocates for you but the provider makes the final decision, and will point you to the exact support flow. A shady platform will avoid the question entirely.
